His main areas of expertise include ES due diligence, gap analysis, management systems, corporate sustainability strategy, performance monitoring and evaluation in line with internationally accepted standards for DFI’s, commercial banks and PE firms. He has led projects in a range of sectors including power, infrastructure, manufacturing, agriculture, food & beverage, healthcare, chemical, oil & gas and mining. In the late 1990s, Jeremy started a boutique sustainability consultancy which was acquired by the ERM Group in 2003 to establish their first Africa office. Jeremy continued on as Managing Director of ERM’s Sub-Saharan Africa business until mid-2015. Jeremy has BSc Honours and MPhil (Cum Laude) Degrees in Environmental Management and is a Registered Professional Natural Scientist with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP). He lectures Auditing and Management Systems to the Post-Graduate Environmental Management Programme at the University of Cape Town each year.
